Xiaomi the world number 5 smart phone maker situated in China.On Wednesday xiomi (pronounced "show me") made a 12-hour rush sale in which more than 2.1 million smart phones were sold on a single platform, this sales were made via the smart phones direct-to-customer website "mi.com", setting the record of most mobile phones sold on a single platform in 24-hours according to the Guiness world record website, although the apple iphone6 and iphone6 plus which sold 4 million of it's units in its first 24 hours but not on a single platform as various channels of distribution were utilized.
